Uta Meier-Hahn studierte Angewandte Kulturwissenschaften an der Universität Lüneburg und der Marmara Universität Istanbul. Zuletzt arbeitete sie beim Norddeutschen Rundfunk als Online-Journalistin und leitete Seminare zur Recherche in Sozialen Netzwerken. Am Humboldt Institut für Internet und Gesellschaft forscht sie zur Infrastruktur des Internets, insbesondere zu den Verbindungsarrangements unter Internet-Anbietern.
