Philipp Mahlow
Philipp Mahlow ist assoziierter Forscher und war wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Forschungsprojekt Human in the Loop? Autonomie und Automation in sozio-technischen Systemen im Rahmen des Forschungsschwerpunktes Neue Technologien und Zukunft des Rechts.
Bereits während seines Studiums der Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität zu Köln spezialisierte sich Philipp auf die Innovationsregulierung, insbesondere im Hinblick auf künstlich intelligente Systeme. Er beschäftigte sich seit der Veröffentlichung des Kommissionsentwurfs mit der Europäischen KI-Verordnung, sowie weiterer KI-bezogener Regulierungsakte wie der AI Liability Directive. Insbesondere interdisziplinäre Überlegungen bezüglich der Vereinbarkeit juristischer Voraussetzungen mit technischen Möglichkeiten interessieren ihn dabei. Neben Tätigkeiten im Patentrecht-Litigation Team einer internationalen Wirtschaftskanzlei hat er bereits in einem Forschungsprojekt zu KI Test-, Trainings- und Validierungsdatenqualität gearbeitet.
Philipp promoviert aktuell an der Universität Innsbruck zu Voraussetzungen an die Erklärbarkeit von KI-Systemen. Zudem referiert er über verschiedene Auswirkungen der Europäischen KI-Regulierung.
