Adrian Kopps

Adrian Kopps ist assoziierter Forscher im Forschungsprogramm „Die Entwicklung der digitalen Gesellschaft“ und außerdem für das „Lab Platform Governance, Media, and Technology“ an der Universität Bremen tätig. Zuvor war er studentischer Mitarbeiter im Forschungsprojekt „Platform Governance and Copyright (H220)“.

Er studierte Politikwissenschaft (B.A.) an der Freien Universität Berlin und absolviert momentan den interdisziplinären sozialwissenschaftlichen Masterstudiengang “Global Studies Programme“ an der Humboldt-Universität Berlin mit Studienaufenthalten in Bangkok und Buenos Aires.

Vor seiner Tätigkeit am HIIG sammelte er unter anderem Arbeitserfahrungen bei Spotify, ZDFneo und im Goethe-Institut in Mexiko-Stadt. In Mexiko war er außerdem für den Thinktank „C Minds“ tätig, der sich mit gemeinwohlorientierten Einsatzmöglichkeiten von künstlicher Intelligenz beschäftigt.

Er interessiert sich besonders für soziologische und gesellschaftstheoretische Zugänge zur Digitalisierung der Gesellschaft.

    Im Rahmen des HIIG-Forschungsschwerpunkts zu Plattform-Governance und europäischer Plattformökonomie baut das Projekt auf früheren Studien zur Meinungsfreiheit.
