Judith Faßbender

Judith Faßbender ist assoziierte Forscherin im Forschungsschwerpunkt Gesellschaftliche Werte, Transformation und KI. Im durch das Ministerium für Bildung und Forschung geförderten Forschungsprojekt Public Interest AI befasst sie sich mit gemeinwohlorientierter Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) aus einer Prozessperspektive. Sie promoviert an der University of St Andrews an der School of Computer Science zu Design Patterns für eine partizipative Data Governance.

Nach ihrem Bachelorstudium im Fachbereich Design an der Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle und der Design Academy Eindhoven führte ihr Masterstudium sie 2018 an die Zeppelin Universität Friedrichshafen, wo sie Kultur- und Kommunikationswissenschaften im Hauptfach und Ökonomie im Nebenfach studierte.

Judith ist aktuell Gastdozentin an der KISD für KI und Design. Sie arbeitete zuvor im Kultursektor und im Forschungsbereich, unter anderem als Praktikantin bei Die Neue Sammlung der Pinakothek der Moderne in München und als Design- und Forschungsassistentin im Studio Knol in Amsterdam. Ihre Masterarbeit schrieb sie in Kooperation mit dem Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation in Berlin zur Integration zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteur*innen in deliberativen Foren zu KI-Ethik.

    Public Interest AI

    Die Forschungsgruppe „Public Interest AI“ entwickelt ein operationalisierbares Analyseverfahren, das es ermöglicht, Gemeinwohlorientierung zu definieren und auf drei Ebenen zu beurteilen.

Unsere Forschung analysiert sozio-technische Transformationsprozesse kritisch. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie digitale Technologien stärker an gesellschaftlichen Zielen ausgerichtet werden können – insbesondere im Hinblick auf Nachhaltigkeit, Gemeinwohl und demokratische Werte.
