Jascha Bareis, Dr.
Dr. Jascha Bareis ist Senior Forscher an der Université de Fribourg und war assoziierter Forscher am Humboldt Institut für Internet und Gesellschaft. Als Politikwissenschaftler untersucht er die Schnittstelle von Hypes, (zivile und militärische) KI, Tech-Oligarchie und politischer Kommunikation. Weitere Fachgebiete sind Technologiebewertung, Vertrauen in Technologie sowie Demokratietheorie.
In Kooperation mit dem HIIG erforschte er zusammen mit Forschungsleiter Dr. Thomas Christian Bächle die Realitäten und normativen Dimensionen rund um Künstliche Intelligenz und tödliche autonome Waffensysteme.
Er promovierte am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie zum Dr. phil., erwarb einen MA-Doppelabschluss in Politischer Theorie an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main und der Technischen Universität Darmstadt und einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Liberal Arts am University College Maastricht.
