ür Internet Governance. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Leibniz-Institut für M
edienforschung | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI)\, der Dynamic Coalition on Gen
der and Internet Governance (DC-Gender)\, mit netzforma* e.V.\, dem Gunda-

enn Sie teilnehmen möchten.\n\n&nbsp\;\nMany Worlds. Many Nets. Many Visi
ons.\nCritical Voices\, Visions and Vectors for Internet Governance\n26 No
 vember | 6:30 pm | doors open: 6 pm\nHIIG | Französische Straße 9\, 1011
 7 Berlin\nRegister here\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe Internet is a place of contrasts.
Consider this: In 1996 John Perry Barlow wrote in his Declaration of the I
ndependence of Cyberspace\, that\n“We are creating a world that all may
enter without privilege or prejudice accorded by race\, economic power\, m
ilitary force\, or station of birth.”\nA world that all can enter on an
equal footing? Without privilege or prejudice? Has such a world emerged? A
world where discrimination and fear has no place\, where freedom of expre
ssion reigns? How can these beautiful words be made to fit the lived exper
ience of so many all across the world?\n\nThe Internet we have does not fu
lfill the emancipatory promise some have ascribed to it: a medium to chang
e the world and end all injustice. The Internet has transformed the world\
, but it has fundamentally destabilised or even challenged\, key societal
power differentials. Or has it?\n\nThe Internet Governance Forum 2019 in B
erlin is committed to "One net\, one world\, one vision". We beg to diffe
 r. We have invited experts and activists from all over the world\, represe
nting all stakeholder groups to present their ideas on how the Internet Go
vernance discussion should be further developed regarding marginalised gro
 ups and communities.\n\n&nbsp\;\nAgenda\n\n\n\n6.00 pm\nDoors open\n\n\n6.
