Online Roundtable Discussion:
How can we accelerate the production and adoption of e-government services in Morocco?
Friday, March 17th 2023 | 9.30 am – 12.30 pm CET
Invitation-only Online Roundtable

As part of its collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society organizes an invitation-only online roundtable on the 17th of March 2023, in close collaboration with the Digital Transformation Center in Morocco. At this online event, international experts from the UK, Colombia and Estonia will discuss the topic of e-government with Moroccan policy representatives. It will focus on the question of: “How can we accelerate the production and adoption of e-government services in Morocco?”

Morocco has one of the highest standards of quality of digital wellbeing in Africa, but there is still a need for improvement in regard to other countries worldwide. E-government represents an opportunity to improve the lives of Moroccans and a new e-government strategy will be launched this year that aims to build a strong framework, strengthen digital infrastructure, adopt data-based strategies, and digitalize administrative processes.

This roundtable aims to provide a common understanding of approaches and factors that are conducive to the successful implementation and adoption of e-government services. We are delighted to welcome three e-government experts who will share international best practices that could accelerate and facilitate the production and adoption of e-government services in Morocco.

The event will be conducted in English and French, a simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
