Covid-19 turned out to be an accelerator for the recent developments. This article discusses a podcast that has recently been started. During the podcast episodes founders of startups talk about their marketing and sales strategies and report about how they overcame certain obstacles. The interviewer follows a scientific approach and the podcast is simultaneously used for entrepreneurship education purposes in university lectures. It should help to facilitate an applied learning environment, especially in times of online teaching and Corona. The &#8220;Marketing From Zero To One Podcast&#8221; is available on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/marketing_021\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Soundcloud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/3MjWXb5BgRTHfeRuPmFPvl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spotify<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/de\/podcast\/id1474214700\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple Podcasts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (in German language only).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Vor einiger Zeit habe ich den \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketing021.com\/\">Podcast Marketing From Zero To One<\/a>\u201d gestartet, um diesen als begleitendes Tool f\u00fcr meine Entrepreneurship Lehrveranstaltungen einzusetzen. In jeder Folge geht es um eine andere Person, um ein anderes Startup und somit um eine andere Geschichte. Im Kern geht es um die Themen Vertrieb und Kundengewinnung. Ein Thema, was laut Analyse des <a href=\"https:\/\/deutscherstartupmonitor.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/dsm_2020.pdf\">Deutschen Startup Monitor 2020<\/a> f\u00fcr 2\/3 aller Startups die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Herausforderung darstellt &#8211; Tendenz steigend. Dies best\u00e4tigen auch meine Beobachtungen und Forschungsergebnisse. Es gibt kaum etwas schwierigeres f\u00fcr Startups, als die ersten zahlenden&nbsp; 10, 50, 100 Kunden zu gewinnen. Genau diese k\u00f6nnen eine Positivspirale ausl\u00f6sen, indem sie durch ihr wertvolles Feedback Produktverbesserungen ansto\u00dfen oder aber f\u00fcr Investoren der Ausl\u00f6ser f\u00fcr eine Finanzierungsrunde sind. Ich betreibe den Podcast mit einem wissenschaftlichem Anspruch, versuche Muster zu erkennen und Erkenntnisse abzuleiten, von denen wiederum weniger erfahrene Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Gr\u00fcnder profitieren k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In meiner Rolle als Professor an der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.th-brandenburg.de\/\">Technischen Hochschule Brandenburg<\/a> hilft mir der Podcast nicht nur dabei, nah am Thema zu bleiben, sondern vor allem spannende Geschichten ans Licht zu bringen. Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Gr\u00fcnder sind \u00dcberzeugungst\u00e4ter und wer sich wie sie \u00fcber mehrere Jahre tiefgehend mit einem Thema auseinandersetzt, der hat in der Regel viel zu berichten. Das habe ich bei jeder der mittlerweile mehr als 35 Folgen gemerkt und lerne immer wieder selbst neue und spannende Dinge dazu. \u00dcbliche Fragen, die in Gespr\u00e4chen thematisiert werden sind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Wie sind die Gr\u00fcnder*innen auf die Idee ihres Startups gekommen?&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>Wie haben Sie ihre ersten zahlenden Kunden gewonnen?&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>Wie ist es ihnen gelungen, eine funktionierende, skalierbare Marketing- und Vertriebsstrategie f\u00fcr ihr jeweiligen Startup zu entwickeln?&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>Welche Marketing- und Vertriebskan\u00e4le haben am besten f\u00fcr sie funktioniert?&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>Was waren ihre 2-3 gr\u00f6\u00dften pers\u00f6nlichen Learnings, die sie an andere, weniger erfahrene Gr\u00fcnder*innen weitergeben k\u00f6nnen?&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>Wie hat Corona ihr Startup beeinflusst und was steht aktuell auf ihrer Agenda?<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In der Lehre ist es mein oberstes Ziel, den Studierenden Praxisn\u00e4he zu vermitteln. In der Vergangenheit habe ich regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Gr\u00fcnder f\u00fcr Gastvortr\u00e4ge an die Hochschule eingeladen, f\u00fcr die Studierenden Exkursionen zu Startups organisiert oder aber gemeinsame Projekte mit diesen organisiert. In Zeiten von digitaler Lehre und Corona versuche ich das, was m\u00f6glich ist, ins Virtuelle zu verlagern. Der Podcast garantiert Praxisn\u00e4he, soda\u00df ich regelm\u00e4\u00dfig darauf zur\u00fcckgreife. W\u00e4hrend der stattfinden Online Vorlesungen h\u00f6re ich mir gemeinsam mit den Studierenden kurze Sequenzen an, die eine inhaltliche Bereicherung f\u00fcr meine theoretischen Vorlesungsinhalte sind. An anderer Stelle verweise ich lediglich darauf, soda\u00df die Studierenden die Inhalte orts- und zeitungebunden konsumieren k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Umstellung von Pr\u00e4senz- auf Online-Lehre hat mich auf die Idee gebracht, den Podcast noch intensiver einzusetzen und daraus Fallstudien zu produzieren. Existierende &#8220;Business Case-Studies&#8221; drehen sich leider selten um Unternehmen aus der gleichen Region, werden f\u00fcr gew\u00f6hnlich nur in Textform ver\u00f6ffentlicht und sind oft sehr abstrakt, was zur Demotivation f\u00fchren kann. Au\u00dferdem ist es als Lehrender vergleichsweise teuer, die Rechte daran zu erwerben, um sie in der Lehre verwenden zu d\u00fcrfen. F\u00fcr die Studierenden ist es weiterhin kaum m\u00f6glich, kl\u00e4rende Fragen zu stellen, die \u00fcber die L\u00f6sungen zum selbstst\u00e4ndigen Nachlesen hinausgehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Angelehnt an die klassischen Harvard Business Case-Studies arbeite ich daher gemeinsam mit ausgew\u00e4hlten Startups aus der Metropolregion Berlin Brandenburg strukturiert ihre gr\u00f6\u00dften Herausforderungen beim Unternehmensaufbau heraus, baue diese zu offenen Fragen um und nehme anschlie\u00dfend die Antworten der Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Gr\u00fcnder als Podcast auf. H\u00e4ufig drehen sich auch hier die Probleme um marketing- und vertriebsrelevante Fragestellungen. Die Studierenden erhalten anfangs ein paar f\u00fcr das Verst\u00e4ndnis wichtige Informationen zu den Personen und deren Hintergrund sowie zu ihren Ideen in Kombination mit den Fragen. Anschlie\u00dfend k\u00f6nnen sie sich Gedanken machen, untereinander \u00fcber m\u00f6gliche L\u00f6sungswege diskutieren und ihre Ergebnisse dann anschlie\u00dfend pr\u00e4sentieren. Die Aufl\u00f6sung gibt es dann am Ende als kurze Podcast Sequenz und ab und zu schalten sich die jeweiligen Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Gr\u00fcnder auch pers\u00f6nlich in die Vorlesungen, um weitere Fragen der Studierenden zu beantworten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Die Fallstudien sollen vor allem dazu beitragen, die H\u00fcrden zum Gr\u00fcnden zu senken und den Studierenden nachvollziehbare reale Geschichten liefern, die sie daran glauben lassen, dass sie diesen Weg ebenfalls einschlagen k\u00f6nnen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sollen wichtige Kompetenzen wie Kreativit\u00e4t, Analytik, Ergebnisorientierung oder aber Probleml\u00f6sungs-, Kommunikations- und Teamf\u00e4higkeit gest\u00e4rkt werden.
