However,\u00a0over the last couple of years the universal principles of human rights became a widely used\u00a0framework for discussions. The accompanying conditions and responsibilities for governments,\u00a0private sector entities, and civil society organizations are part of an ongoing global discussion.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.au.dk\/en\/\">University of Aarhus<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrw.org\/\">Human Rights Watch<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auswaertiges-amt.de\/EN\/Startseite_node.html\">Federal Foreign Office of\u00a0Germany<\/a>, the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society did continue the exchange of ideas in order to find appropriate solutions. The second international Berlin\u00a0cyberspace conference titled \u201cThe Internet and Human Rights: Building a free, open and secure\u00a0Internet\u201d took place on September, 13th and 14th, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>In order to keep the symposium discussion-oriented participation was limited to about 100 participants from civil society, governments, the private sector, academia and the technology experts.
