How can mid-sized companies and startups arrange a successful cooperation with win-win potential for both sides? This question was raised on Monday, 6th March at<\/span> Spielfeld Digital Hub<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>As a part of the one year study How to collaborate with Startups?<\/strong> the\u00a0<\/span>Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG)<\/span><\/a> & <\/span>Spielfeld<\/span><\/a> hosted a large event with experts from both worlds regarding success models for efficient collaboration between startups and mid-sized companies. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Founders from startups such as <\/span>Adspert<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>CaterWings<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>DaWanda<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Fab Lab Berlin<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Infarm<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Loopline Systems<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Makers<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>POSpulse<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Table of Visions<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>TripRebel<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Urban Sports Club<\/span><\/a> or<\/span> Vjsual<\/span><\/a> met executives and managers from <\/span>Brenntag<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Sky<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Commerzbank<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Francotyp-Postalia<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Gebr. Brassler<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>VR Leasing<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Wirecard<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>WestTech Ventures<\/span><\/a> as well as other experts from <\/span>Berlin School of Digital Business<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>D-Labs<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>FactoryBerlin<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Projects & smallmatters<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Skubch&Company<\/span><\/a>.

\n<\/span><\/i>During four workshops the identified stages of collaboration – Learn, Match<\/em> and Partner<\/em> – were discussed in small groups.\u00a0<\/span>

The Learn\u00a0<\/em>phase includes short-term models such as startup pitches, business plan competitions and hackathons. Match<\/em> includes short-to-mid-term forms as accelerators or incubators whereas Partner<\/em> combines long-term collaboration forms such as co-innovation, strategic alliances or joint ventures. Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Schildhauer (Research Director, HIIG<\/a>), Moritz Diekmann (Managing Director, Telef\u00f3nica NEXT<\/a>) and Felix Anthonj (Founder, Flexperto<\/a>) presented their experiences on open innovation within three keynotes. First results of our study will be published soon.<\/p>\n\n\t\n\t\t
