Mehera Hassan is a degree candidate in the Master Program “Global Production Engineering for New Energy Technologies” at the Technical University Berlin. She supports the research Project “User innovation in the smart energy market” at Alexander von Humboldt Institute for internet and society. In her master thesis, Mehera has investigated user centricity and open innovation in the Smart Energy Market. The research project particularly focuses on the strategies and approaches adopted by smart energy startups in the German market to become user centric as well as the corresponding challenges & risks.
Mehera has a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. She has worked for four years at one of the leading food manufacturing companies in Dubai, UAE. Mehera has led several technical improvement projects around Al Ghurair’s manufacturing facilities.
Her research interest is the dynamics of the German energy market, user centricity and User innovation in the smart energy sector.
