María Olmedilla Fernández

Assistant Prof. at University of Seville in the Department of Business Administration, Marketing and Market Research.

Maria is currently doing a PhD in Strategic Management and International Business with a the Line of Research: Information Systems and Knowledge Management. She holds a Masters’ degree in Technology and Innovation Management Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus and FH-Brandenburg of Germany.

Her research is focused on the Long Tail among eWOM communities as well as the paradigm of Open Source Software from the perspective of semantic analysis and social network analysis. Her work has been published in several Journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Computer Standards & Interfaces or Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, as well as in some proceedings of international conferences. During her time as a visiting researcher at the HIIG, María has investigated about Identification of Lead Users in Open Innovation Communities by their interaction practices.
