Sonja Köhne is a researcher in the group Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Society. She is in charge of the topic “digital qualification”, which is part of the initiative Gemeinsam Digital by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and aiming to support small and medium-sized enterprises with their digital transformation. Sonja also supports the research project Artificial Intelligence & Knowledge Work, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs.
Before she joined HIIG, Sonja spent five years working in the fields of Human Resource Management and HR Information Systems. Most recently, she worked as an HR Business Partner and as project lead for the implementation of a global HR cloud solution for employee master data, learning and performance management.
She studied Media and Communication Sciences (B.Sc.), Human Resource Management (M.Sc.) and Digital Communication (M.A.) at Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of the Arts Berlin. During her studies, Sonja has worked as a student assistant at HIIG for the Third Engagement Report.
