Sonja Köhne is a researcher in the research group „Innovation & Entrepreneurship“. She is in charge of the topic ‘digital qualification’, which is part of the initiative ‘Gemeinsam Digital’ by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, aiming to support small and medium-sized enterprises with digital transformation.
Before she joined HIIG, Sonja spent five years working in the fields of Human Resource Management and HR Information Systems. Most recently, she was project lead for the implementation of a global HR cloud solution for employee master data, learning and performance management.
She completed her Bachelor in Media and Communication Sciences at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Afterwards, she finished her Master in Human Resource Management. In her Master thesis, Sonja studied the effects of emotional contagion in leadership situations on employee performance. She is currently pursuing another Master‘s degree in Digital Communication at University of the Arts Berlin. During her studies, Sonja has worked as a student assistant at HIIG for the Third Engagement Report.
