Research Sprint: Call for Participation at GreenTech-Research Sprint in Vietnam

The research sprint “Green Technology, Entrepreneurship & Climate” will concentrate on promoting the deployment of green technologies in Vietnam to cope with climate change.

Apply until 29th August to work on the development and adoption of green technologies for the energy sector in the global south with a focus on challenges like the shortage of aspiring entrepreneurs and investments in the sector. 

The interdisciplinary research sprint will take place virtually from 24 October to 30 November 2022, with a final week on site in Vietnam.

Panel Discussion: The future of online labour markets and regulation of the platform economy

In this panel discussion, we will present the results of a research sprint on sustainable digital economies. Our international participants looked into the opportunities and challenges of online labour markets in Ghana and Kenya. The event will take place on 26 July in Accra, Ghana. MSD: Policies towards fairer online gig-work

The multi-stakeholder dialogue is associated with the research sprint on skill polarisation in online labour markets. It will bring together relevant stakeholders and policy makers to discuss the findings of the research sprint and possible policy implications for the online labour economy in Ghana and Kenya. The multi-stakeholder dialogue will take place on 25 July in Accra, Ghana. Admittance is by invitation only.

The closing week of our research sprint begins today!

After 8 weeks of exploring and investigating, our research sprint on fair online platform work ends with an exciting closing week in Accra, Ghana, where the fellows will finally meet in person. 

From today on various meetings and site visits are planned, ending with a multi-stakeholder dialogue and a panel discussion on monday and tuesday next week where the findings of the sprint will be discussed.

Panel Discussion: AI for Social Good?

In early July, panellists will discuss the opportunities and risks of applying Artificial Intelligence in sustainable entrepreneurship in Benin and Francophone West and Central Africa. The panel will consist of three to four local experts from the realm of academia, entrepreneurship and policy making. The stakeholders will discuss challenges as well as strategies and actions to promote sustainable digital entrepreneurship in the region. The panel discussion will take place on 7 July in Cotonou, Benin.

MSD: Sustainable Digital Entrepreneurship in Africa

In early July, a multi-stakeholder dialogue will bring together relevant stakeholders to capture the status quo of sustainable digital entrepreneurship in Benin and Francophone West and Central Africa. Stakeholders will discuss challenges as well as strategies and measures to promote sustainable digital entrepreneurship in the region. The multi-stakeholder dialogue will take place on 6 July in Cotonou, Benin.
