Cloud computing is a way of distributed computing over a network to use and deliver IT applications, processing capability, and storage space. Due to the cloud service providers' control over the storage and the processing of information, as well as the communication between cloud client and the cloud system, and strong tendencies of monopolization, cloud computing poses significant risks to the privacy and data protection rights of individuals. This document describes measures by cloud service providers to support their clients to comply with privacy and data protection laws.
