The following paper strives to find an appropriate answer to the question of the relationship between European Constitutionalism and the national constitutions of the Member States. We first need to understand what the European Union really is in terms of constitutional law, before dwelling with the question of relationship. And as we are living in a difficult period the European Union being threatened by the Brexit, finally, some conclusions regarding the Brexit-process and its constitutional implications are drawn.
