Cyber espionage in times of COVID-19

A new form of statecraft emerges with states uses hackers to conduct cyber operations. This new form of statecraft becomes more relevant in the current pandemic as it increases the likelihood of digital activities causing the loss of human lives. Thus, the present article seeks to clarify how one of the activities that compose this new form of statecraft, i.e. espionage in cyberspace, has been developing during the pandemic, and what reactions it has generated in the world so far.
