- Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funding the research project “Network of Excellence for the Law of Civil Security in Europe (KORSE)”
- Google extending initial funding of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society early for another 6 years (2014-2016 guaranteed, 2017-2019 optioned)
