Pablo Schmiemann studies European Business Law at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Prior to that he successfully completed the European Law School Master at Maastricht University. In his master’s thesis he dealt with consumer rights in e-commerce in the European Union’s Digital Single Market. His bachelor’s thesis in European Public Administration at the University of Twente dealt with the effects of social networks on political participation in the EU. As an intern in the R&D and Innovation Services department at Ernst & Young GmbH, he worked on various projects on digitisation and sustainability. He also worked as a working student at the tax consultancy firm Hampicke in Berlin, which specialises in digital tax consultancy. He supports the research group Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Society at HIIG as a student assistant.
