Oke Seliger
Oke Seliger is a student assistant in the research project “Shaping 21st Century AI – Controversies and Closure in Media, Policy and Research“.
Oke is studying in the master’s program in Political Science at the University of Potsdam, where he previously completed his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics. Most recently, he studied at the University of Tartu in Estonia for six months as part of an Erasmus stay, where he took courses from the program “Politics and Governance in the Digital Age”. During his studies, Oke is focusing on comparative political science and quantitative research methods. For his master studies, Oke is supported by a scholarship from the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation.
Before joining the HIIG, Oke worked as a policy advisor for an MP in the German Bundestag. In addition to his work at HIIG, Oke works at the University of Potsdam’s Chair of Politics and Government in the university’s research focus “Data-centric Sciences” for which he is examining the strategies of political parties in election campaigns on social media platforms.
