Nina Hrkalovic works as Assistance of the Research Director Thomas Schildhauer at the Humboldt Institut for Internet and society (HIIG). Furthermore she supports the Research Group: Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Society.
Nina Hrkalovic studied media science and english/ american literature and culture at the University of Potsdam and Humboldt University of Berlin as well as the Univesidad de Sevilla (Spain).
After her studies she worked in science journalism and made documentary films. Thereafter she founded an ICT- Startup, sponsored by the EXIST Founder Scholarship. From 2014 till 2018 she worked at the German Informatics Society. There she was, among other things, responsible for the initiative „Germans digital heads“ (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), taking care of the contentual and organizational preparation of conferences as well as the communication. Recently she was working for the technology programme „Smart Data – Innovation from Data“ (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) as project employee and part of the accompanying research.
