Nicole Siebold, Dr.
Nicole Siebold is an associated researcher at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg (Germany). She is also an associated scholar at the DFG Network “Grand Challenges & New Forms of Organizing“. AT HIIG, Nicole engages in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Group and investigates how artificial intelligence can be applied for the social good.
Nicole’s research interests are focused on social entrepreneurship and sustainability. In her dissertation, she analyzed how business models of social ventures can be conceptualized in an economically sustainable way and how social impact can be scaled in distinct business model configurations. In her current research projects at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg she investigates the phenomenon of social venture growth and explores collaborations and network structures of social ventures. Her research is inspired by her field work with Ashoka Germany and voluntary work at the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND e.V.).
