Nele Buß

Nele Buß is a student research assistant in the research focus area of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Society. She is currently working on two projects: Generative AI in the world of work, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; and AI and Gender Equality, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

Her research interests lie in the sociology of work, particularly power relations and social inequality. In particular, she is interested in the political economy and governance of AI, the reproduction of social inequalities, and the socio-ecological implications of digital technologies. For her master’s thesis, she examined processes of subjectivation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, gender and work. For her bachelor’s degree, she wrote a thesis that focused on the structural transformation of the public sphere in relation to digital journalism and digital platforms.

Nele is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Social Sciences at Humboldt University of Berlin. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Social Sciences and Business Communication from HU Berlin and HTW Berlin.
