Nadine Berneis
Nadine Berneis has been the coordinator for stakeholder engagement and management consultant
at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) since June 2022.
She studied educational sciences in the master's program at the Free University of Berlin with focus
on media education and gender studies. She is interested in the influence of digital transformation
on society, politics, the economy and, in particular, education. For her, the focus is always on people
and their active participation in these processes. She sees particular potential in networking and
cooperation with a wide range of actors, so networking is a focus of her activities at the HIIG.
After Nadine worked as a lecturer at the Alice Salomon University with focus on media literacy, she
worked for six years at the non-profit association Germany Savety in the Internet under the
patronage of the Federal Ministry of the Interior. As a project manager and department head, she
developed various educational offers to promote digital skills in the private and professional context.
She headed the editing of didactic offers and studies. In addition, she organized digital and analogue
workshops and conferences. She was also responsible for the dialogue with committees and
stakeholders from the media, politics, business and civil society and supported the association's
board of directors.
