Mareike Lisker works at HIIG as a student assistant in the research program “Data, actors, infrastructures” and studies “Theory and History of Science and Technology” in a Master’s program at the Technical University of Berlin.
Her main interests lie at the interface of informatics and society. She is currently attaining a degree in Computer Science (B.Sc.) from the Technical University, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Linguistics at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She has several years of teaching experience as a teaching assistant in linguistics.
In her bachelor thesis in computer science she develops a system for the automatic extraction of transparency information from privacy policies with natural language processing. She completed her Bachelor of Philosophy with a phenomenological study of how digital artifacts are changing the way we access the world.
