Mareike Lisker works at HIIG as a student assistant in the research program “Data, actors, infrastructures” and studies “Theory and History of Science and Technology” in a Master’s program at the Technical University of Berlin.
Her main interests lie at the interface of informatics and society. She holds degrees in Computer Science (B.Sc.) from the Technical University as well as in Philosophy and Linguistics (B.A.) from Humboldt University of Berlin. She has several years of teaching experience as a teaching assistant in linguistics.
In her bachelor thesis in computer science she developed a system for the automatic extraction of transparency information from privacy policies with natural language processing. She completed her Bachelor of Philosophy with a phenomenological study of how digital artifacts are changing the way we access the world.
