Lena Ulbricht, Prof. Dr.
Lena Ulbricht is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Hildesheim. Her research focuses on the democratic implications of digital technologies and the political consequences of technology and platform regulation.
She has over twelve years of experience leading research projects and social impact initiatives, including collaborations with the OECD, the Vodafone Foundation, and the Open Knowledge Foundation. She was also part of the founding team of the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society – The German Internet Institute.
Before joining the University of Hildesheim, she held positions at the Technical University of Munich and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She earned her doctorate in political science from Humboldt University of Berlin and completed her habilitation at the University of Bremen.
In addition to her academic work, she is the co-host of the podcast “PurpleCode.”
