Lara Kauter
Lara Kauter was a student assistant in the research project Human in the loop?.
She is currently studying Geographical Development Studies (M.Sc.) at the Free University of Berlin. She previously completed her bachelor’s degree in Area Studies Asia/Africa at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Her main research interests are postcolonialism, international development cooperation, human rights and global inequalities. She wrote her bachelor’s thesis on the intersection of labor migration and human trafficking using the example of the Kafala system.
Before joining HIIG, Lara worked as a student assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin and completed internships at the Foundation North-South-Bridges and the NGO World Economy, Ecology & Development e.V..
