Katharina Block, Prof. Dr.
Katharina Block is Junior Professor of Social Theory at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. In 2015, she earned her doctorate in philosophy with the scientific-theoretical thesis “From the Environment to the World. The Concept of the World in Environmental Sociology”. After a research fellowship from the Human Dynamics Centre (University of Würzburg), she also taught at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Her research focuses on social theory, societal theory, philosophical anthropology, phenomenology, sociology of ecologization and sociology of digitization.
