Johanna Spiegl

Johanna Spiegl is a student assistant in the knowledge transfer team and supports it in the organisation of events happening at the institute.

During her bachelor’s degree, she specialised in sociology with a focus on internet and communication. In her bachelor’s thesis, she focussed her research interest on the changes in norms and values in society. In doing so, she asks herself what transformations, opportunities and risks these entail for the social system. She is particularly interested in the combination of research and education in order to actively prepare for change.

Since completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Bamberg, she has trained as a yoga teacher and taught for a period of time. She has since decided to pursue her interest in sociology by starting a Master’s degree at the University of Potsdam in October 2024.
