Jascha Bareis studies the double degree Masters Political Theory at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and at the Technical University Darmstadt.
He is interested in approaching the subject of Digitalization from a social theoretical and power critical perspective. This entails gouvermental, cybernetic and media theoretical approaches, as well as phenomenology and democratic theory.
Before Frankfurt, he attended Liberal Arts College Maastricht focussing on the subjects philosophy, sociology and political sciences. He graduated with the thesis: “The shared Individual. A Philosophical Investigation of Individualism in the Context of Facebook” supervised by Prof. Tsjalling Swierstra.
During an exchange semester at the Chinese University of Hong Kong he dived into Chinese philosophy, history and politics.
Jascha supported the research program “the evolving of digital society”.
