Filip Biały

Filip Biały is a Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society.

He is an assistant professor at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, and a postdoctoral researcher at the European New School of Digital Studies, European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). He holds a MA in Political science, a PhD in political philosophy, and a postgraduate diploma in Big Data and data processing. Previously he was a visiting fellow in the Department of Government at London School of Economics and Political Science and in the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) at the University of Cambridge.

As a political theorist he focuses on understanding the implication of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies for the main political concepts: freedom, equality, justice, democracy, and politics. He is engaged in the Horizon 2020 ASSISTANT project that aims at implementing AI ethics principles in industrial manufacturing.
