DESCRIPTION:Please note: This workshop is not a public event but on invitat
 ion only.\n\n\n\nWith the alluring possibility of technology freeing us fr
 om the need to make decisions in all areas of our everyday lives\, a since
 re concern is arising with regard to the preservation of free will in matt
 ers as crucial as the formation of public opinion\, political decision-mak
 ing and activity in online communication spaces.\nAlgorithms\, which also 
 enter physical terrain via IoT\, directly influence human behaviour both o
 nline and offline. The need for new meta-norms that can ensure an ethical 
 process of technological innovation and acknowledge human rights when it c
 omes to algorithmic decision-making is a pressing matter to be discussed.\
