SUMMARY:Leave our democracy to chance in the future?
DESCRIPTION:This event will be held in German.\n\nAs part of the project DE
 CiDe - Digital Identity\, European Citizenship and the Future of Democracy
 \, the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society is curren
 tly developing an electronic instrument for conducting secure and cost-eff
 ective opinion polls and polls. It is a random sampling system based on di
 gital identities. We want to show that these random samples represent a re
 al added value for participation processes\, because they can lower the hu
 rdles and costs of direct participation.\n\nIn January\, the Alexander von
  Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society is conducting a field test at
  several lectures of the Institute for Computer Science and the Faculty of
  Law at Humboldt University\, to test the technical components to be used 
 in the context of a test poll for the following question:\nAre random-base
 d opinion polls and voting a useful mean to bridge the gap between citizen
 s and their institutions?\nWe would like to discuss the insights gained wi
 th students and interested parties afterwards and therefore invite you on\
