Blockchain for Lifesciences | Event

“Science is about trust, privacy and proof. So are the blockchain and cryptography.”

Blockchain organises digital assets decentralised and distributed. It makes data immutable, transparent and provable to the outside – at the same time subject privacy can be assured.

HIIG associated researcher Sönke Bartling is inviting to discuss visions on the upcoming blockchain (r)evolutions in the field of science, and knowledge creation. One point of the discussion will be whether Blockchain could be a technical solution to the current reproducibility crisis in science (see also the publication Blockchain for science and knowledge creation by Sönke Bartling and Benedikt Fecher ).

There will be presentations and an open mic for brainstorming. Please sign up for the event through meetup.

This high-profile lecture series thrives to develop a European perspective on the processes of transformation that our societies are currently undergoing.

Once a month we publicly discuss the impact of digitalisation on the society. Therefore we invite special guests and engage in a dialogue with the audience.
