Emily Ryan

Emily Ryan is from Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. She currently attends Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where she is working towards a degree in Environmental Engineering.

At university, Emily takes part in an undergraduate research project analyzing the effectiveness of biosand filters (BSFs) of different fill capacities in order to improve implementation of more portable BSFs in communities of need.

Emily hopes to combine her interests in social justice with her field of study by joining a volunteer organization working to improve environmental consciousness and access to clean drinking water in communities in developing nations.
