DSA Research Network: Fourth Meeting of the Circle of Friends
Expert roundtable
Tuesday, 28 April 2026 • 3:00–4:30 p.m. (CET)
Online
Following three highly productive Circle of Friends meetings, we will continue the series in April 2026. The Circle of Friends acts as a sounding board for research conducted within the DSA Research Network, as well as providing guidance on the project’s future direction. Together with experts from NGOs, regulatory bodies and academia, we discuss emerging DSA-related topics, identify the need for scientific insight, and explore different methods to address these gaps. The expert roundtable is embedded in a flexible and adaptable operational framework that takes into account the field’s dynamics. This provides valuable input for shaping the project’s research priorities. It also enables us to take into account recent developments, such as the escalating tensions in transatlantic political relations and the imminent official evaluation of the DSA.
About the DSA Research Network
The DSA Research Network aims to establish a unique space for communication and collaboration around the implementation of the Digital Services Act, with a strong focus on making recommendations for possible areas for reform early on. Following a network-based approach, the project sets out to add value to already existing initiatives that have been formed to accompany the process of implementation. By providing a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue between academics, practitioners, NGOs, and regulators, we facilitate the creation of actionable knowledge and foster a culture of collaboration.
