Antonia Eichenauer

Antonia Eichenauer is an associate researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and a Junior Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI). She works on the project Journalism: Automating the News and Journalistic Autonomy, part of the DFG-funded research group Communicative AI (ComAI) – The Automation of Societal Communication. Her research interests include the future of journalism and public communication, the application of creative methods, and bridging futures studies with journalism studies.

Antonia studied Culture Work and Arts Management in Potsdam and Futures Research in Berlin. She was previously an editor at the Berlin based agency raufeld, first as part of the editorial team of drehscheibe, then as head of the youth editorial team of the FUNKE media group. She later worked as editor-in-chief for content marketing at the same agency.
