Sadiem Youssef

Sadiem Youssef has been a student assistant in the Impact AI research project since March 2025. The research project aims to develop an auditing method to assess the impact of public good-oriented AI projects on social transformation and sustainability. He is interested in the potentials associated with the use of AI in general and the risks of this technology in particular.

Currently he is studying for a Master’s degree in Urban Futures at the FH Potsdam, where he is particularly interested in the question of how we look from the present towards different futures. Sadiem did his Bachelor’s degree in social sciences with a political focus and philosophy at the University of Erfurt for my and studied Edward Said and Michel Foucault in his Bachelor’s thesis.

Both in his work at the HIIG and in his studies in Erfurt and now in Potsdam, he has learned that only looking beyond one’s own discipline and horizon of thought can help us to better understand the world and contribute to its positive development.
