Anna Dumat

Anna Dumat is a research associate in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Society research focus and works on the Narratives and Power in the Debate on AI and Work project. The project conducts a comparative study of the emergence, distribution and impact of AI narratives on the future of work in Germany and the United States. Before that, Anna Dumat worked on the Increase corporate political responsibility and accountability of digital platforms (INCA) research project.

Her research interests include the platform economy, the impacts of artificial intelligence, and institutional change and framing in the context of digitalization, particularly the question of how digital and disruptive technologies are transforming various sectors.

She holds a master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Technical University of Berlin, and her master’s thesis examined how well people can distinguish AI-generated videos from real videos and which individual factors are associated with recognition performance and the assessment of authenticity. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics at TU Berlin.
