Bronwen Deacon
Bronwen Deacon ist assoziierte Forscherin im Forschungsschwerpunkt Demokratischer Wandel und Wissen. Zuvor leitete sie das Forschungsprojekt Organisationale Resilienz und Kreativität: Die Zukunft von Bildungstechnologien in der Hochschule und übernahm Aufgaben als Co-Lead im Forschungsprogramm Wissen & Gesellschaft.
Im Rahmen des vorangegangenen Forschungsprojekts Organisationale Adaptivität im Hochschulkontext, in dem sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin tätig war, begann sie ihre Promotion. Darin untersucht sie organisationale Veränderungsprozesse an Hochschulen mit besonderem Fokus auf Führung. Ihre Forschungsergebnisse wurden in zahlreichen internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht. Zuvor war sie am HIIG als Projektleiterin für den Essay-Wettbewerb twentyforty – Utopien für eine digitale Gesellschaft tätig.
Bronwen studierte an der Universität der Künste Berlin und an der Stockholm University und hat einen Bachelor- und Masterabschluss in Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftskommunikation. In ihrer Masterarbeit „Wissen & Politik“ untersuchte sie die Quellenangaben ausgewählter Politiker*innen in ihrer Online-Kommunikation auf X (ehemals Twitter) während des Europawahlkampfs 2019 in Deutschland. Besonders interessiert sie, wie organisationale und kommunikative Prozesse unter Bedingungen von Unsicherheit gestaltet werden können und welche Rolle Führung, Narrative und Interaktion dabei für nachhaltige Veränderung spielen.

Im Projekt untersuchen wir, wie Institutionen und ihre Stakeholder digitale Lehrpraktiken implementieren und deren Dauerhaftigkeit, Adaptivität und Langlebigkeit sicherstellen.
