A German node of an international network in the research area of the Internet and society
The Institute appears as a platform for other researchers interested in issues revolving around Internet and society. In this context it serves as a platform for German academics and encourages the co-operative development of projects, applications and research networks. Additionally, the institute is part of International Network of Internet & Society Research Centers and strives for co-operation agreements with European and international research centres. In doing so, the institute’s performance regarding the outcome is expected to be multiplied. Since the institute believes in the idea of Open Science, the platform created by the Institute is not be restricted to professional academics.
