Christian is head of the research group Internet Policy and Governance (part-time, parental leave throughout 2016). His research addresses the intersection of technology, communication, and governance. He is a co-initiator of the open access journal Internet Policy Review and project lead of our main research project Circulation of Cultural Goods.

Christian studied media and communication studies, philosophy and computer science in Berlin, Madrid and Potsdam. Before joining the HIIG, he was a research associate and lecturer at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.
