Benedikt studied communication science, economics and organisation science at the University of Erfurt, the University of Ottawa (Canada) and the University of Aalborg (Denmark).

He is a doctoral candidate with in the research infrastructure department at the German Institute for Economic Research (Berlin) and the Internet-enabled innovation department Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (Berlin).

In his doctoral research, Benedikt investigates the archiving and reuse of research data in academia.

His research interests also cover new forms of scientific collaboration, and new trends and developments in academic publishing and science communication as well as knowledge exchange and management.

Benedikt has been a DARIAH-DE fellow at the Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte since 2015.

Benedikt Fecher
